Saratoga Project

Two-toned kitchens are very common with different cabinet color and finishes adding depth, interest, and drama to a single space. Mixing three cabinet colors and finishes, however, in a single space can be a design challenge. This homeowner defies the "three's a crowd" notion by skillfully combining three different cabinet colors and finishes.

Gray painted cabinets set the backdrop for this breezy modern farmhouse kitchen. A large black island adds the necessary focal point with coordinating appliances in darker metals and black extending the palette to the perimeter. Maple-stained cabinets around the cooktop, with complimentary wood look flooring and those great bar stools perfectly warm the space. Wispy veins of silver and gold in the white quartz countertops takes nothing away from the cabinets. Finish up with great hardware and this three-tone kitchen is perfectly beautiful!
